It may not often be thought of as the best game in the universe of gaming, but keno has loads of steadfast admirers. And so it should! It’s a routinely entertaining lotto-ish game that’s a breeze to learn, readily available in a number of assorted formats, and one that can return millions for gamblers who learn its countless subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basics here.

When describing keno to amateurs, some wagering masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least to a certain extent apt, in that each game is basically numerical. But to carry that comparison too far would be to belittle the great many unique characteristics that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno enthusiasts have the freedom to select the numbers for each card.

Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to determine as numerous (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a keno superstar to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all of your chosen numbers with a standardmarker like you had when you were in school.

Once you have checked your numbers, carry your game card back to the keno pit manager at the keno stand. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers you and wants help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will win precisely $.00 for your efforts.

So, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let us advance to something a tiny bit more advanced, shall we?

Now that you’ve selected your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and observe the action take place on the screen. That’s where the winning numbers appear for us. If you selected winning numbers, mark your card aptly. Sake care not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and then a new keno game will probably start within 5 minutes.

Strategy number 2: always make sure to get back to the keno stand on time!

Assuming you do not trust yourself to make that five-minute margin each time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your selected numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty cards. When the max amount of games (the same as the number of tickets) is played, you will then be able to get off your numb back side and go collect your winnings.

Still another opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which usually lets you make number choices for 30 rounds or more. Golly, you can take a Swedish massage and not have to fret about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!

And now you are aware of a couple of necessary techniques for winning keno. If you are a good keno player, they may seem to be quite obvious. Still, it does not hurt to study up on the basic practices, and if you are a beginner player, every bit of information will help make your keno playing more agreeable.
