Keno is a game of luck with a rich and illustrious past. The game that we know and love has experienced remarkable alterations since its earliest appearance. Gambling historians have followed its background as far back as 200 B.C. to a Chinese style of diversion referred to as ‘The Game of the White Dove.’ It is a well-documented fact that a style of keno was played in a bingo-like arrangement on the eastern seaboard just around the time of the humongous Chinese arrival at the time of the gold rush.
In its contemporary style, keno is a bit like bingo in that both games are based upon numbers. A single keno card comes with 80 numbers and the player can pick as many as he or she would like. This is completed by circling or otherwise marking the numbers using a pen. As soon as the bettor has picked out the numbers, he has to bring the card back to the person at the keno stand. The cashier will then provide a ticket after recording the gambler’s numbers. It is up to the gambler to redeem any winning card before the upcoming round starts, so stragglers have to remain alert.
Now that we’ve covered some of of keno’s compelling history and basic facts of game play, you’re most likely chomping at the bit to find out where you can play keno online.
