Keno is a game of pure chance and is very close to Lotto games. The game was brought over to the the states by Chinese expatriates in the 19th century. As with lotto games, it’s a dead simple to enjoy, and it is attractive as big jackpots are offered for very little wagers. Keno is played at bars, clubs and civic center all over the planet today. Unfortunately it shares another weakness with lottery games – horrible odds.

Sensibly, Keno found its way into online casinos as it was an easy game to build, and online casino operators wanted to capture the big land based Keno players on the internet. What was even more in the favor of internet casinos was that many gamblers were accustomed to playing Keno on video screens, so the move online was less of a problem than say with chemin de fer.

So here is how you enjoy Keno. You begin by appointing between 4 and 10 numbers from a total of eighty numbers. Each selection is called a "spot". In many online keno games, you can buy countless cards for the same draw, and in a few games you can even pre-order for games in the future.

After you have submitted your choices, 20 balls with numbers will "drop" into a hopper from a tube. If enough of your numbers are selected, you win. That is all there is. You will obviously come away with more, if more of your spots hit, like with lottos.

Most online keno games allow you to purchase tickets between 5 cents and five dollars, and pay out in multiples of your ticket value. Jackpot winnings of up to 50,000 dollars are not uncommon.

Simple? Yeah. So there should be a catch? Yes. The house advantage with Keno is thirty percent or more, the WORST of any internet casino game. The odds of hitting a number is 0.25percent. Keno is by a big shot the awful game you might possibly gamble on. If you are looking for a game of randomness wager on slots.

It might not ordinarily be considered the best game in the realm of gaming, but keno has tons of devoted players. As well it should! It’s a routinely exciting lottery-type game that’s easy to play, abundantly available in tons of different variations, and one that might yield mega-dollars for players who master its endless subtle nuances. But let’s deal with the beginner’s rules for now.

When explaining keno to newbies, some gambling experts compare it to the lottery. This is at least to a certain degree correct, in that both games are basically numerical. But to carry that comparison too far would be to underrate the endless unique aspect that make keno so entertaining. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the power to select the numbers for every card.

Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the gambler is furnished with an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he or she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a nuclear physicist to figure out how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your handpicked numbers with a good oldmarker like you had when you were in school.

Now that you’ve selected your numbers, carry the card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The keno pit manager will record those numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t drop this (potentially) lucrative bit of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning ticket in hand, you will get exactly $.00 for your efforts.

And there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let’s advance to something a tiny bit more useful, what do you think?

Now that you’ve picked your numbers, get into a nice keno booth and see the action take place on the keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you have winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Sake care not to dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You are required to get back to the keno booth to get your winnings, and then a new round of keno will surely start up within five minutes.

Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno booth on time!

Assuming you can not trust yourself to make that 5 minute margin each time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from two to twenty slips. When the max amount of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is finished, you should then get off your lazy bum and go get your winnings.

Another option is recognized as a "stray and play" keno slip, which normally lets you make number picks for 30 rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to France and not have to fret about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!

So now you have learned several essential strategies for winning keno. If you are an accomplished keno player, they might seem quite obvious. Still, it will not hurt to brush up on the basics, and if you are a new user, every bit of advice will help make your keno experience more fun.
